Determination of fishing season mackerel (Rastrelliger kanagurta) in The Waters of Belawan, Sumatera Utara

Mackerel (Rastrelliger kanaguarta) is a small pelagic fish resource with high potential and economic value. This one of the principal species landed at Belawan Ocean Fishing Port. To maintain sustainability, every fishing activities must be carried out wisely. research aimed to determine pattern season for mackerel The method used survey primary secondary data collection. Primary was obtained from interviews direct collection field. Secondary were time series fisheries statistics Port 2015-2019. results showed that highest occurred in November (the end second transitional season) index value 127.56%. Meanwhile, lowest estimated July east Season Index 77.40% but it still included medium season.
